Eytan Ipeker

Eytan Ipeker is an award-winning editor, director, producer and an experimental filmmaker based in Berlin.

His main focus is editing. The films he edited were screened at Cannes, Berlinale, Sarajevo, Visions du Réel, DOKLeipzig, DokuFest, Documenta, Viennale, Les Arcs; and programmed by museums such as Tate Modern, Istanbul Modern, Pera Museum.  In 2022, he won European Film Academy Editing Award for his joint work with Özcan Vardar on "Burning Days" (2022), which premiered at Cannes. He also won Best Editing Award at Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and Ankara Film Festival. He's a member of KUDA (Editors' Society of Turkey).

As director, his feature-length documentary "The Pageant" (2020)  had its World premiere at Visions du Réel - International Feature Competition and was screened at international film festivals such as Sarajevo and Odessa. His previous work as a director include "Unmade Bed" (2015) and "Idil Biret: The Portrait of a Child Prodigy" (2015), which were screened at various film festivals including Istanbul, Sebastopol, Antalya, !f Istanbul and Documentarist. He is also an experimental filmmaker whose work has screened at Toronto and Edinburgh Film Festivals.

In 2011, he co-founded Kamara, a production company based in Istanbul, where he produced "Albüm" (2016) with his producing partner Yoel Meranda. "Albüm" premiered in Cannes where it won the France 4 Visionary Award, followed by Best Feature at Sarajevo Film Festival and Best First Feature at Jerusalem Film Festival.
