Construction Film was founded by Veronica Ferres in Munich, Germany in 2013 to produce high-quality and hit-oriented TV, cinema and serial content at a national and international level.

The first International feature film which was co-produced by Construction Film was HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS starring Simon Pegg, Christopher Plummer, Rosamund Pike, and Veronica Ferres back in 2013.

In 2015 Construction Film produced Werner Herzog’s latest feature film SALT AND FIRE starring Veronica Ferres, Michael Shannon and Gael Garcia Bernal. The movie was shot in Bolivia and Munich and was released worldwide in 2016.

2019 was the year of international breakthroughs for Construction Film, with the company producing and co-producing five international features. Construction film co-produced the highly anticipated feature film CRISIS about the opioid crisis in the USA. The cast ensemble, which included Gary Old- man, Luke Evans, Armie Hammer, Evangeline Lilly and Veronica Ferres, was directed by Nicholas Jarecki.

LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS was another Construction Film co-production, created under the direction of Dennis Dugan. The movie starred Diane Keaton, Jeremy Irons, Maggie Grace and Veronica Ferres. Further productions include the drama HEART OF CHAMPIONS starring Academy Award winner Michael Shannon, PASSENGER C directed by Cassian Elwes, and the drama EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE with Academy Award winner Casey Affleck, as well as Michelle Monaghan, Sam Claflin & Veronica Ferres in the main roles.

THE UNFORGIVABLE was Construction Film’s first production for Netflix. The material is based on a three-part British miniseries and was directed by Nora Fingscheidt. Production partners were Graham King/ GK Films and Sandra Bullock, who also starred alongside Viola Davis. The film was released on Netflix in December 2021 and was temporarily in the streaming service's top ten.

The latest Construction Film production was the thriller SHATTERED, produced by Veronica Ferres alongside Claudia Bluemhuber and John Malkovich. SHATTERED was released in the U.S. in January 2021. Directed by Luis Prieto, it stars Cameron Monaghan, Frank Grillo, John Malkovich and Lilly Krug.

Recently Construction Film also co-produced the western MURDER AT YELLOWSTONE CITY that was released in the US in June 2022. The projects PROXY, THE LIGHT WE LOST and TASTING SUNLIGHT are currently in preproduction.

At FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2023, the feature film "Entführt - 14 Tage Überleben" (Kidnapped - 14 Days Survival) directed by Oscar nominated director Marc Rothemund, for RTL plus celebrated its premiere. The story is about the historic kidnapping case of Johannes Erlemann in 1981. Construction Film is also in pre-production of the sci-fi thriller "Morning" starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Laura Dern. They will co-produce along with Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo from augenschein Filmproduktion, as well as Benedict Cumberbatch’s company Sunny March. The movie received funding from FFF Bayern’s programme for international theatrical features and series.

More film and series projects are in development, preparation, or pre-production both with German broadcasters and with international streaming platforms.
