Wildest Africa - Ngorongoro Crater (AT)

Known as the eighth wonder of the world, In the heart of Africa lies one of the world’s most magnificent natural splendours, the Ngorongoro crater in northern Tanzania. Its name means, quite simply, ‘big hole’ in Maasai and it is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. A natural amphitheatre twelve miles wide it is a haven for some of Africa’s most spectacular and rare wildlife. Part of the Great Rift Valley, Ngorongoro Crater rises from lush valley that spills onto the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara.
