Subject 101

A homeless migrant living in a government-funded housing project is looking for a new start with a multinational temporary employment agency. But they have different plans for him. In the spirit of classics such as John Frankenheimer’s »The Manchurian Candidate« the film gradually dissolves any reliable reference to the truth. The story becomes blurred before the eyes of Subject 101, until he can no longer distinguish dream from reality anymore. A cop, several obscure guys and the representatives of the company cross his path in different ways and make him a puppet in a nightmare of Orwellian proportions. Tom Bewilogua delivers a furious and fast-paced variation on classic paranoia cinema. Cinema in which his protagonist desperately tries to understand how he became part of an inhumane experiment. Subject 101 must plunge deep into the rabbit hole to uncover the truth and save his own life.
