Propellerfilms is a young, dynamic independent production company based in Berlin, Germany, and is dedicated to producing and co-producing exceptional and entertaining feature films, documentaries and TV shows for the international market.
Propellerfilms was founded in 2006 by Multi-Award Winning Producer and Managing Director Felix Blum and producer Christoph Bauer. From it's inception, the producers have enjoyed great success in both television and film production, with around 100 made for television features, seven feature films, and many other properties under development.
Propellerfilm's first feature film, MUUKALAINEN (by Jukka-Pekka Valkeapää, dist.by The Wild Bunch) premiered at the Venice Film Festival, This film has garnered 4 awards and 4 nominations, including top prizes at the Gothenburg Film Festival. FEATHERED COCAINE, a feature length documentary was selected for the Tribeca Film Festival for the competition of Hot Docs in Toronto and for the IDFA (Amsterdam). The coproduction GUTLAND (staring Vicky Krieps and Frederick Lau), directed by Govinda Van Maele celebrated its world-premiere at TIFF Toronto 2017 (discovery) and its Asian-premier at TIFF Tokyo 2017 (Competition).

Propellerfilm is also active in TV production. The company is specialized in the development and production of innovative, high-quality TV formats.

Christoph Bauer enjoyed a classic journalistic education. Before Propellerfilm he owned Sector 3 Media a TV production company. Christoph is also working as a moderator in German TV.

Felix Blum, a graduate of the International Film School of Cologne, has made a habit of producing award winning features. In addition to MUUKALAINEN and BREATHE / UMPHEFUMLO, Mr. Blum's other film credits include “DER GROSSE AUSVERKAUF, “DIE BLAUE GRENZE, “FEATHERED COCAINE” and “STATUS YO!
