L'ultimo paradiso

Ciccio Paradiso is a 30-year-old farmer living in 1950s southern Italy. Married and with a son, Ciccio dreams of love, freedom and justice, and has entered into a forbidden relationship with Bianca Schettino, daughter of the local landowner, a certain cumpa' Schettino. One day, Ciccio, tired of cumpa' Schettino's abuse, decides to challenge him. Despite his anger, the landowner decides not to harm Ciccio, until he discovers his daughter's affair with the farmer, and kills him.

Upon Ciccio's death, his brother, who has emigrated to the North, Antonio, returns to the small town, and from there a series of dramatic events begin.
