Deux mots sur Ebrahim Alfadhala
Ebrahim Alfadhala was born in Bahrain in 1989. He studied Banking and Finance and worked as a banker for four years. In late 2013, he left his banking career to pursue his passion for filmmaking, and worked as a cameraman for a four-month reality TV show. In late 2014, he attended a documentary film program in Doha in collaboration with the Filmakademie BW. Upon returning to Bahrain, he founded a small media production company.
Between 2015 and 2017, Ebrahim worked on various projects in Bahrain, Poland, Russia, and Germany. In late 2017, he enrolled as a guest student in the International Class at the Filmakademie BW. After his experiences there, he decided to learn German and continue his studies, and has been studying documentary film directing at the Filmakademie BW since 2018.
Beginning in 2018, Ebrahim shifted his focus to researching documentaries that delve into human relationships, emotions, and different aspects of existence. With his documentaries, he aims to foster connections among people by conducting various experiments in search of answers and creating new narratives. His experience as a camera operator and his passion for analog photography have enabled him to work as a cinematographer and colorist on numerous documentaries. Ebrahim is also an Adobe Certified Expert in Premiere Pro and has extensive experience in post-production. His recent work as an editor on "Junger Dokumentarfilm: Jemen – Die Mütter der Entführten" was nominated for the Grimme-Preis 2022 in Germany.
