Synopsis
In the Swiss Emmental in the 12th century. The courageous midwife Christine makes a pact with the devil to save her village from the terror of the German Crusaders. Punished by a mysterious spider epidemic, Christine goes from being the rescuer to the hunted, and the violence escalates. Christine takes up the fight against this diabolical power, which wants to take away the highest good for which she is willing to die: humanity.
