Construction Film was founded by Veronica Ferres in Munich, Germany in 2013 to produce high-quality and hit-oriented TV, cinema and serial content at a national and international level.
In February 2020 Sabina Arnold joined Construction Film as producer and CEO, with the main focus on movies and high-end TV series for the German market.
The first International feature film which was co-produced by Construction Film was HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS starring Simon Pegg, Christopher Plummer, Rosamund Pike, and Veronica Ferres back in 2013.
In 2015 Construction Film produced Werner Herzog’s latest feature film SALT AND FIRE starring Veronica Ferres, Michael Shannon and Gael Garcia Bernal. The movie was shot in Bolivia and Munich and was released worldwide in 2016.
2019 is the year of International breakthrough for Construction Film. The company co-produced the highly anticipated feature film DREAMLAND about the opioid crisis in the USA. The cast ensemble which included Garry Oldman, Luke Evans, Armie Hammer, Evangeline Lilly and Veronica Ferres was directed by Nicholas Jarecki.
In October this year, the shooting for LOVE, WEDDINGS & OTHER DISASTERS, another Construction Film co-production started under the direction of Dennis Dugan. The movie is starring Diane Keaton, Jeremy Irons, Maggie Grace and Veronica Ferres.
Construction Film is producing three other international feature films at the moment. The drama SWING starring Academy Award winner Michael Shannon, PASSENGER C directed by Cassian Elwes, and the drama EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE with Academy Award winner Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Claflin & Veronica Ferres in the main roles.
In 2020 Construction Film will be producing their first project for Netflix with the drama UNFORGIVEN. This movie is based on a UK mini series and will be directed by Nora Fingscheidt. Production partners on this project will be Graham King/GK Films and Sandra Bullock, who also will be seen in the main role.
Further German and International feature films and high-end TV series projects are in preparation and development.
