The Dead Walk Side By Side With The Living (AT)

The project is an experimental film researching belonging and displacement. The film reflects on memory in relation to place, perception of space, embodied presence and the notion of being. In the backdrop are elements of animism, anthropology as well as concepts relating to how the foreigner has to change his or her mode of perception in order to adapt to new territories. An intimate research is carried out that incorporates studies of animals in captivity as well as studies of actors interpreting texts and situations to form a complex structure of multi-layered narrative. The film offers a voyage into a world of perceptions exploring haptic image, linking disparate images in a way that produces a particular inner coherence, one based on poetic reasoning.
