Postures (Installation)

In an artificially staged environment, a young girl is entering her adolescence. Climbing down a tree that grows inside her building, the girl enters different floors with scenes set up in order for her to meet characters aiming to influence her. All characters are in different ways connected to screens and projections. A mariachi band being the voice inside her head, enters in between the different scenes to help her deconstruct the previous action and understand her personal relation to the moving image as she is growing up. Both thematically and formally, the project is structured as a constant play between the artificial and the emotional, and throughout her encounters; the girl connects and disconnects herself from a screen-based reality, as she is growing into a projection herself.
