La vie devant

On the evening of little Lucas’ 7th birthday, around whom a whole smala of upset adults gravitates, Valeria, his mother, a superwoman without weakness and pregnant to the hilt, finds herself alone with her little one. Unable to sleep, Lucas stares at the ceiling. It is then that he hears a thud coming from the living room. He gets up and finds his mother on the floor, having convulsions. The story develops around this accident. First, by going back over the previous week, during which everyone pursues their projects, from the superficial to the existential, from the serious to the frivolous, from the personal to the universal – with the enthusiasm of innocents who don’t see anything coming; then, by telling the story of the accident and its aftermath, which will shake up this group whose equilibrium was already quite precarious.
