Kim Newcombe is remembered as the New Zealander who came second in the 1973 World 500 Grand Prix Championship. Not only a keen competitor, he built his own bike, developed with a Konig engine for outboard motors.
Pemberton's film makes poetic use of Super 8 footage shot by Kim's wife, Janeen, as the young couple blazed a trail on the European racing circuit in the early 1970s.
