'It Was Related to Me' is a meditation on the complex relationship of two brothers, exploring the interplay of the notions of brotherhood, mentor-ship, masculinity and sexuality. Using family photos, home video footage, children's bedtime stories and materials from Egyptian popular culture in the 90’s, this personal essay presents a retrospective contemplative account of this relationship.
