    The Korean born artist Nam June Paik (1932-2006) is known as the inventor of video and media art and was one of the most innovative artists of the 20th century. His artworks range from early music performances and his involvement in the Fluxus movement to TV works, sculptures, large-scale video installations and laser works. The film presents a review of his work and shows excerpts from various film footage with Paik. Collaborators, contemporaries and family members talk about the artist and his work, such as his widow Shigeko Kubota, his nephew Ken Hakuta, the curators John Hanhardt and Wulf Herzogenrath, the technical engineer at TV Lab/WNET John Godfrey, the production assistant Ruth Bonomo and the artists Mary Bauermeister and Ingo Günther.
