    Kurzinhalt

Inside Hana’s Suitcase is the story of what happened to two Jewish children when the Nazis occupied Czechoslovakia in 1939. It is also the story of some contemporary Japanese children, and how their teacher helped them solve the mystery of Hana Brady whose name was painted on a battered suitcase from Auschwitz. There were no clues as to Hana’s identity or what might have happened to her but the students kept asking: “Who was Hana? Where did she live? What happened to her?” Their teacher, Fumiko Ishioka, knew she had to find out, both for her students and for herself. Inside Hana’s Suitcase is a documentary journey full of mystery and memories, brought to life through the perspectives of Fumiko, Hana’s brother, George, and Hana herself.
