9 youngsters from Berlin-Wedding committed themselves to this film experiment in which they explore their personal and working futures. Pushing the boundaries of documentary filming to the limit, the film comprises formal modules that are played through in the same way by all the main characters, providing them with a framework to encourage them to explore the adult world. These “self-portrait modules” are based on the questions "Where do I come from?", "Where do I want to go to?" and "What is expected from me?". This experiment takes a refreshing approach in getting to know the characters; the viewer sees things from the perspective of a generation that is in the process of growing up.
