City of Hope (2 pilot episodes)

The world of the so-called New German Kids in a Westphalian small town towards the end of the 2010s. The pilot episodes focus on Enver and Selma, siblings that couldn’t be more different. While emancipating themselves, they bond for the first time and actually get to know each other. The audience delves into their Turkish-German microcosm, Arameans and their religious culture are examined as well. It’s a story about love, loyalty, belief and the search for identity.
