I have been dedicated to the moving image for over 25 years, working as a cinematographer for documentaries and feature films since 2002. In 2008 I started creating images for corporate and industrial films as well as video clips and commercials. With the production company nächster Halt Filmproduktion, which I co-founded in 2009, I also write and produce my own films.

It is always about the images telling a story, arousing curiosity, showing what is hidden and appealing to the viewers emotionally.

Film as a photographic medium draws with light, whether on analogue film or on a video sensor.
It is above all this work with light that constitutes the real art of the Director of Photography. It is the concentration on the essential, the composition of movement, light and shadow in time and space.
