    In the summer, the thriller series directed by Jan Holoubek 'Rojst '97' (the second season of the series, 2021) appeared on the Netflix platform, on which Szustow was already working in a new role.

    At the same time, she is undergoing a series of training courses for intimacy scene coordinators under the guidance of specialists in the industry. Amanda Blumenthal of the Intimacy Professionals Association, the first intimacy coordinator in Los Angeles, who has just become her individual mentor.

    'Intimacy happens at the intersection of fantasy and the body, and it's easy to get lost, to lose track,' she says. That's why she always starts her work with an actress or actor with the phrase: "Your boundaries are in the perfect place, we just need to name them".

About Kasia Szustow

Certified intimacy coordinator (affiliation: Netflix, Sefe Sets), member of the European Intimacy Practitioners' Guild, crisis coach, facilitator of safe creative processes. An Initiator and co-author of the "Polish Guidelines for Intimate Scenes'' developed by a coalition of 11 film organizations.

She is a member of the Berufsverband Intimitätskoordination und Kampfchoreografie e. v. (German association for intimate scene coordination and fight choreography in the DACH Region: Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Graduate of the Theatre Academy in Warsaw (MA Theatre Studies) and the Warsaw School of Economics (post-MA: Project Management, post-MA: Coaching). During the 2023 semester she is a Guest Lecturer at the Filmwissenschaft Institut Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.

As a Consent Coach she provides individual support systems for challenging creative projects, and as a Crisis Coach she helps cultural organizations to implement an efficient and non-violent organizational culture.

As an intimacy coordinator she worked on more then 80 scenes for film productions such as: "Perfect Addition" (dir. Castille Landon, stars: Ross Butler, Kiana Madeira, Matthew Noszka, Constantin Film, 2023), "Elephant" (dir. Kamil Krawczycki, 2022, best micro-budget film, Gdynia, winner of Chicago LGBTQIA Film Festival), "Filip" (dir. Michał Kwieciński, 2022, Silver Lions, Gdynia Festival), "Rojst'97" (dir. Jan Holoubek, Netflix). She has worekd for Disney+ and Gaumont Gmbh ("German House” mini-series), Constantin Film "In The Lost Lands” (stars: Milla Jovovich, Dave Bautista), Netflix ("Freestyle” dir. Maciej Bochniak).
Kasia just wrapped polish "Lubię wracać” dir. By Małgorzata Szumowska & Michał Englert, stars: Joanna Kulig), she is currently working on a Swiss series for SRF&Netflix (TBA), and "The Assessment” with Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Olsen.


Szustow has worked for Schauspielhaus Zürich on two productions as an Intimacy Coach for "Kurze Interviews mit fiesen Männern – 22 Arten der Einsamkeit" based on David F. Wallace, directed by Yana Ross (2021), and as Consent Coach for the production "Wilhelm Tell" by Switzerland's most important director Milo Rau (2022).

She finished one-year Safe Sets–Netflix Apprentices developing Intimacy Coordination talents for Netflix across the EMEA region. The course was a part of Grow Creative global fund created by Netflix to support Inclusion & Diversity initiatives in the industry. (Certificate 2021)
