Eva is a Berlin based Filmmaker. She was born and raised in Wuppertal, Germany, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Bergische Universität Wuppertal in 2011. Eva then moved to Beijing, China, in order to work for the German Architecture Office gmp architects.
She began to make her first short films, both live action and animation, as she pursued her Master of Science in Architecture at the KTH Stockholm in Sweden.
Upon completing her degree in 2014, Eva came to the Columbia University Graduate Film Program in New York City and in 2017 her short film Alcor & Mizar (also known as Bluebird) premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
During her four years in New York, Eva worked on numerous movies in various capacities such as director, writer, production designer, editor and producer.
In October 2018 Eva moved back to Germany. She graduated with an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University in Spring 2019.
Her thesis film Ben and Mimi - Mimi and Ben premiered at the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival in California and has played at a variety of Festivals since.
Eva now lives and works in Berlin. In 2021 she shot her short film Untitled Days, which is currently playing at festivals like the Mammoth Lakes Film Fest in California.
Her most recent short is called Omni and was shot in 2022 in Portland, Oregon. This project is currently in post-production.
