A handsome salary, lots of vacations and time off at lunchtime - being a teacher used to be close to the dream job. That is long gone. More and more teachers are quitting and there are hardly any new recruits in sight at universities. Education researchers predict a shortage of up to 150,000 teachers by 2030. How could this happen? What does this mean for pupils? Claudia Euen has school-age children and wonders how they will actually manage to graduate in view of the lack of lessons.
