Isle of the Dead is a love story between two people whose hearts have been broken by the past, on an island cut off from the rest of the world by a global plague. In this radical isolation, grief and guilt resonate, and the inhabitants no longer live, they survive. In a quest for emancipation from fear and despair, Léonard and Marguerite meet and together cross the frontier of survival to feel alive again.
