Gualtiero Scola, Italian Theatre and film artist, theatre director. He studied performing arts disciplines at the University of Bologna.
His most significant theatrical collaborations: with the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, with directors E. Fenoglio, L.Puggelli, K.M.Gruber, with G. Cobelli, with G. Sepe in the original cast of "Ballando ballando" and the preparation, drafting and realisation of the musical theatre work "Francesco" where he plays Saint Francis of Assisi alongside Angelo Branduardi and his musicians.
He took part in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the "2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin" broadcast worldwide. directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca.
In 2006, he travelled to India to perform Dante in a play based on the Divine Comedy.
He is the voice of very popular characters among children in numerous cartoons, or in very successful video games. In recent years, he has consolidated his collaboration with audiobook publishers such as Audible and Storytell.
Over the years, he has starred in numerous commercials directed by G.Salvatores and G.Tornatore, among others.
At the cinema as a protagonist he is in "AAA Achille" written by V. Cerami and set to music by N. Piovani with S. Rubini, and "L'Amico Segreto", filmed mainly inside the community of San Patrignano; as a guest: "Il Cartaio" by D.Argento. "Ultimo Stadio" by I.De Matteo. "The Siege of Vienna" by R.Martinelli. "Beyond the Mist" by G.Varlotta and many others. He took part in a small role in "Gangs of New York" directed by Martin Scorsese.
Some of these films were shot in English.
In television, his most popular roles were: "Un medico in famiglia", "Distretto di polizia"; "La squadra" "Casa Vianello" and "Cuori Rubati" produced by RAI 2, where he played one of the main characters. He takes part in several dramas produced by RSI Televisione Svizzera, for the Central European market.
He is a guest teacher at the Binario 7 Theatre School in Monza and Accademia 09 in Milan, and in numerous seminars and festivals in Italy. Interpreter in Italian and English for numerous video training courses. At the request of the Politecnico di Milano, he wrote a short training course for university professors.
He dedicates himself to the production of shows or sound works of his own devising, inspired by a theatre that combines his passions: music, poetry, dance and spirituality.
He participates as a reader/speaker in numerous conferences investigating the world of art and artistic communication.
For several years now, he has dedicated himself to his audiovisual art-dissemination project Dante Reloaded.
