List on the island of Sylt. Germany's only oyster farm is located in our northernmost municipality, where a North German family business has been breeding the famous "Syl- ter Royal" variety in the Blidsel Bay between List and Kampen since 1986. The oyster slurping is a short pleasure, the breeding, however, long and hard agriculture in the water. There are only 7 oyster fishermen in Germany, all men work on the farm at "Dittmeyer's Austern Compagnie". Now also a woman, because in the family Dittmeyer a generation change is pending. The granddaughter of company founder Rolf Dittmeyer, the famous fruit juice pioneer "Uncle Dittmeyer", takes over the oyster business. Pauline Dittmeyer (26) is thus entering completely new territory on the island. That is to change! The boss makes practical course in the own enterprise. A challenge also for the boss, fishery master Christoffer Bohlig. He teaches Pauline everything from A to Z - from oyster handling to breeding offspring.
