The "Lügde case" was one of those national news stories from 2018 and 2019 that milled disturbingly into the public consciousness: allegedly two main perpetrators committed sexual crimes against at least 32 children on a campsite in Lügde in the Weserbergland region for over twenty years without interruption. Why did no one look? In four episodes, the documentary series tries to find out how it was possible that so many people looked the other way: at the campsite, in the village, at the youth welfare offices, at the police. In 4 parts of 45 minutes each, the team of authors goes in search of clues - Lisa-Marie Schnell (parts 1 and 4), Volker Wasmuth and Tabea Mirbach (part 2), and Patrick Zeilhofer (part 3).
