In 1987, Karl Prossliner made a documentary about the village of his childhood entitled "Naturns - A village through the ages". 30 years later, he returns to this village on film.
In the 1980s, the old "Mauerbamer farmer" described the village as follows: "Too much has been done, it's no longer beautiful. So many foreign people have moved here and this development continues. We used to have a varied economy. We had cattle, a little wine and fruit. If something failed once, due to hail or bad weather, something always remained. Today we only have a one-sided economy, but everyone is insured. I don't like it, but I'm an old man you don't have to pay attention to."
Today, the village presents itself as an "Alpine-Mediterranean wellness village". One field on the edge of the village stands out: a group of old men from the local heritage association cultivate this field as they did when they were children. They were the starting point for this film project, they have experienced how time is no longer determined by nature, but by man. In the world and in the village.
