    Brief synopsis

Two self-destructive people ALEX and Zoe meet by chance in a cafe in Paris during one of the worst nights of their lives. Equally screwed-up they hit it off, discovering in the course of the night a deep connection and empathy for the other. However, due to their mutual affinity for self-destruction they decide to remain friends, making a pack to keep the other from inflicted self-carnage.
Soon their once a week meeting at the cafe they first met turns into a daily ritual and bragging fest. The cafe thus becomes a home for the two young and DANIEL and HELENE (the elderly couple that owns the place) a type of sudo-parents.
As Alex’s and Zoe’s influence over one another becomes more and more heightened, and their love life continues to take a dive since the night they met - a fact they both take pleasure in - Alex and Zoe finally decide to listen to Daniel and Helene and get together.
All at once, the world, Paris, life, love is euphoric, addictive, thrilling and made just for the two of them. Their pleasure at finally being together and having found the other is over-powering to the extreme.
Yet happiness among two people riddled by fears and addicted to self-destruction can never last too long. Before they know it, their doubts, fears, and inflictions start to tear apart their new life together and that of Daniel and Helene.
As time goes by each fears more and more that they are being set up to fail and they will end up losing the love of their life, a fear that leads them spiralling into self-destruction. Seeing the man she loves drift away from her more and more each day Zoe calls it quits.
However, falling back into the life they knew is more difficult than either expected. What makes us hit the self-destruct button? How do we stop spiralling out of control? When the questions matter the answers are never easily at hand.
