Brief synopsis
In July 1917, Alsace is still annexed by Germany.
Trapped in their trenches in the mountains, Camille, the Alsatian and André are the sole survivors. They are awaiting relief forces. After a moment, Roger and Lasso – an African – join them after getting lost in an ambush.
They decide to try and get back to their lines and on their way they discover a wounded soldier behaving very strangely and trapped in a curious situation. In another distant trench they can distinguish armed silhouettes of indistinct nationality who do not respond to their calls and open fire on them.
These five abandoned and lost soldiers from totally different backgrounds will soon find themselves locked in the absurdity of the conflict when confronted by the first example of technological warfare, on an Alsatian battlefield, of which the outcome is far from sure.
