In 1967, it was simply a matter of a daily handful of rice for the children in the orphanage in Andheri near Mumbai. Today, ANDHERI HILFE has long since become a recognized development cooperation organization, as independent and committed as on the first day.
We are a registered non-profit organization. ANDHERI HILFE receives funding (grants, donations) from private donors, foundations and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). We currently support around 50 projects of local organizations in India and Bangladesh, reaching more than 700,000 people.
It is always about helping people to help themselves!
