Valentin Schroeteler

Valentin Schroeteler, born and raised in Lucerne (CH) in 1994, is a freelance actor, theater musician and author, currently living in Hamburg. Valentin studied acting at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover (graduated: 2019) and was a member of the ensemble of the Junges Theater Münster for three years (2019- 2022) (director: Monika Marta Kosik). He is also a co-founder of the street circus Compagnie Trottvoir in Switzerland and has toured with it four times (2012-2015). He has worked as an actor and theater musician at the Staatstheater Hannover, DT Göttingen, Theater Münster, Theater Strahl and TdJW Leipzig, among others. He has worked with Lucia Bihler, Ekat Cordes, Sergej Gößner, Volker Hesse, Swantje Lena Kleff, Jonas Steglich and Mathias Spaan, among others. In summer 2021 he was invited to the 180° Degree Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. In spring 2022, his solo performance KRIXLKRAXL XXL (directed by Cedric Pintarelli) was invited to the Penguin's Days Festival. He is the 2016 Migroskulturprozent study award winner and received the "auf geht's" scholarship from the state of NRW in 2022. In 2023 he wrote his debut play Endstation Barbarei oder das Ende der Desillusion.
