The 70s of the GDR. The Ulbricht era is coming to an end, but Kurt (21 years old), who suffers from borderline, doesn't notice much of all this. He lives completely isolated from any joy of social life in his one-room apartment. Only his half-sister Paula has been visiting him regularly for several months.
But the closeness the two have just found threatens to break apart when deep old wounds suddenly open up again in Kurt.
A fifty-minute chamber play develops between Paula and Kurt, exclusively in Kurt's bedroom. Between closeness and distance, love and hate, cigarette smoke and alcohol, the two sneak around the life-changing truth until it finds its way to the surface and reveals the shocking origin of his illness.
