The film appears as an essay led by Mr. Michel Thévoz - former director of the museum of Art Brut, Lausanne. Illustrated by the performances of the painter accompanied by his muse with a Stradivarius violin, and punctuated by the service of a virtuoso violinist at the time of the last public screening of the cinema “Why Not” in Montreux. The film explores the motivations of Philippe Visson in an intimate face to face with his image of the artiste’s eternal struggle between subject and object.
The contrast of a biography to the prestigious atmosphere with the reality of artistic creation offers an original cinematographic vision decoded by the explanations and the questions of Mr. Michel Thévoz.
