A story about the search for a place in a tradition that denies entry to its pristine halls.
During the course of this documentary we meet Sri Hari, his father and teacher, Margi Madhu and his mother Dr. Indu G. -- both true masters of the ancient performance art form Kūṭiyāṭṭam. We will discover how the family tries to preserve a highly elaborate art form outside the temple walls and find a place within a society obsessed with flashy love-ridden musical dramas. We will follow the boy through a rigorous training regime and the parents' attempt to draw public attention to their performances held in their secular version of a Kūttampalam.
