Weather extremes like floods, storm floods, droughts and heat waves together with water scarcity are already today serious problems for cities especially in developing and newly industrializing countries. The web series takes you on a journey over three continents to several future mega cities in china, Vietnam, India, Peru, Morocco, Ethiopia and south Africa by visiting research projects fighting existential problems caused by the climate change in developing countries. The series gives insights in technological, social and economic approaches for energy efficient design in cities.
