Manfred has been running a hair salon in Barcelona’s Born district for over 30 years. Over time he has witnessed how his surroundings have undergone not only the pre and post Olympic transformation, but also how the quarter has become the benchmark of modernity and tourism in Barcelona. The district is currently invaded by designer shops where lifelong Born residents cannot even think about shopping, while the small businesses that had always been there are dying off. Now the hair salon is under threat and Manfred, one of the last survivors, will have to fight to keep his business and his way of life.
