Platzmangel

“Lack of space” is a quiet movie about a small village in the Swiss mountains, which is suddenly struck by current world events: A
temporary asylum center is opened in autumn 2013 in a former ( Réduit- ) defense shelter close to the grison village “Sufers”. 120 locals
are confronted with an almost equally large number of asylum seekers, many of them coming from Africa. On the one hand “Lack of
space” works with little concreteness. On the other hand the film shows strange encounters in the close mountain valley where the
ordinary meets the absurd, the white the black and the present the past.
