Kamambo (Butterfly) tells the story of a young girl, Kamambo – a West Papuan asylum seeker in Victoria. Based on a true story, Kamambo (Butterfly) is a sensitive portrayal of a young girl’s journey towards self-acceptance. The film was shot on 16mm film in September 2010 and was created in collaboration with the West Papuan community in Melbourne.
