The film deals with the conflict in the Niger Delta region; Environmental degradation, lack of education as a result of tensions between the foreign oil corporations and a number of the Niger Delta's minority ethnic groups who felt they were being exploited. Ultimately leading to violence and kidnapping by militants within the Niger Delta, they take up arms against the government to seek a better life.
