Kiss the Moon portrays the life of Khusras, members of a closely-knit sub-culture of transgender women in Pakistan. The sizeable community is well aware of the complex and ancient cultural traditions of Pakistani society. The Khusras struggle to maintain a harmonious relationship with society, but often they are at noticeable odds. Kiss the Moon forges intimate contact with the Khusra community, to comprehend how it feels to live in a world where life is divided into a rigid binary of either masculine or feminine. The film crosses gender boundaries and delves into the true essence of being - the desire to love and be loved.
