M4 - My Many Married Men

'M4' is a short romantic comedy by new Iranian filmmaker Saman Giraud, born in Austria, co-­‐directed by James St.Vincent from the USA and shot in New York City. The film is about a French painter named Valerie who has moved from Paris to NYC to pursue her dreams of falling in love. She goes on four different dates with four different men from four different countries. Each man represents a perfect cliché yet Valerie finds out that they have one more thing in common: they're all married. In her journey through her dating life she explores the limits of her own heart,as well as the pain of loving someone perpetually unavailable. It is Valerie's own imagination that allows her to deal with the pain of her romantic failings. Poignant,quirky and romantic, 'M4' is a look at modern love, and what one woman finds when she discovers her dreams are not the romantic notions she thought they were.
