I shot a short children’s documentary about a twelve year old boy who has to leave his home because his village will soon be destroyed by caterpillars. Under the village, there’s a big subterranean field of brown coal, and that’s why they tear the houses down. The worst thing for the boy Niklas is that he won’t be able to help his grandfather on the farm any more. The film accompanies the boy during the process of moving and saying goodbye.
