This video installation will illustrate the main theme of Shanghai Expo 2010 - BETTER
LIFE BETTER CITY – from a European perspective. To do this a range of sub-themes
have been chosen, which include: city and architecture, clean environment, education,
public transport and mobility, art and culture, freedom of the press, diversity of people,
sports, and gastronomy.
The central aim of our concept is to show Europe’s UNITY IN DIVERSITY. To do this each
sub-theme will be illustrated with a selection of carefully chosen images, each taken in
different cities. It is our goal to communicate that Europe is made of a rich variety of
places, cultures, traditions, ways of life and people; but at the same time that there is a
strong link between us all. We share common values, traditions and expectations for the
