Layla Metssitane

Layla Metssitane, French actress and director of Moroccan descent. She speaks French, English and Arabic. Layla is coming to an end with an extraordinary one-woman show that she performed in no less that 31 countries, from China to Chile, and all continents in between. The French ministry of culture loved "Stupeur et tremblements" (“Fear and Trembling”) so much they sponsored each and every international trip. Based on an multi-award winning novel by Amélie Nothomb (Winner of the prestigious Grand Prix of l'Académie Française in 1999), she tells an amazing story of one woman in monologue, dance and music – to full houses and rave reviews. She came to LA last year to promote "The Well", Algeria’s official entry in the Best Foreign Film category Oscar, in which she plays co-lead. Her other TV and film credits are impeccable. But it is her stage work for which she is best known in France. She is also member of UNESCO based in Paris and she supports a couple of associations for education and culture.
