Out of nowhere, the young table tennis club TTC Neu-Ulm bursts onto the scene in 2022 by assembling one of the greatest teams in the sport’s history. While the new squad, led by German superstar Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Swedish newcomer Truls Möregårdh, dominates a season of triumph, the club’s original lineup – three banned Russian players – must witness their dreams of a European future slip away. Under the weight of competition, political sanctions, and the harsh realities of sports capitalism, the very foundation of the club begins to crack.
