Lara Mae Khamis

Best known for her costume design work on Ziad Doueiry's film "The Insult", award-winning costume designer Lara Mae has been obsessed with fashion and design since her childhood spent between Canada and the United Arab Emirates. Of Lebanese origin, she decided to move to Beirut to discover her native country at 19 and received a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting from International Fashion University of Esmod. She also loved Psychology and by age 22, she merged her love of Fashion Design and Psychology and continued to pursue her career as a Costume Designer and Wardrobe Stylist. With a few commercials under her belt, she headed into the field of cinema.

In 2018, Lara Mae was nominated for Best Costume Design and Wardrobe Stylist at the Lebanese Movie Awards for her work on Tramontane (2016), The Traveller (2016) and The Insult (2017). She took the award home for winning the title for Ziad Doueiry's "The Insult" (2017).

She is currently based out of Dubai, UAE.
