Andreas Petri

Andreas Petri was born in Hamburg in 1967 and studied acting in Leningrad / St. Petersburg and Berlin (Ernst Busch). He worked with Thomas Ostermeier, was seen in various TV and cinema productions ("Lola Rennt"), was with the cultural capital Weimar 1999 in Tel Aviv companion of the Popess in the "Schönspiel der Frau Jutten". Played his big role "Platonov" and much more in the Erlangen Theater. As a co-author and director, Petri staged the musical "Jedermann" in Bad Hofgastein, created an African fable scene for the puppet theater and was in between in Wuppertal, Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf with the staged reading "Moscow - Petuschki". The "Shakespeare Company, Berlin” welcomed him with open arms in 2011, he took over Petruccio in "The Taming of the Shrew” and played solo with musician Richard III. directed by Iwona Jera, with whom he had long-standing cooperation. After a part of the season in Rostock ("Dracula") he ended up in the Ruhr area. He works as a theater pedagogue, speaker, author, reader, actor (Burghofbühne Dinslaken, Theater Sommerhaus in Winterhausen, Forum Theater Stuttgart) and director. He is also the percussionist of the band (Café Electric) and an occasional table tennis player, most recently at TTV Blau Weis Neudorf in Duisburg
