Ladybug

"Ladybug" is a feature short film about Marie, a woman in her late 30s, wanting to become pregnant in a natural way. Believing, universe will give her, what she deserve, she declines fertility treatment. Months later, supported by some funny home remedies, finally her wish comes true: She will have a baby. Dreaming about their future as a family, Marie is preparing life for the new family member. But then, everything goes badly wrong. She is suffering a miscarriage.

On average, women experience more miscarriages in their
lifetime than they give birth to children, but the topic
is taboo in our society with increasing urge for self-improvement.
Trauma and anxiety disorders are often the
result.

Maries way out of pain and depression is a reminder of hope - to trust the universe, whether it gives us very sad experiences, or beautiful ones. So that we have the chance to grow and become, what we are supposed to be.
