It's Ella's birthday. Ella lives alone with her sick mother in the country, has even given up dancing for it. Now she gets visit from her sisters. Soon it turns out that not only the brother, who has not contacted for three years, has not come, even the mother has disappeared. Lene questions her sister, but Ella does not get a word out. The situation escalates. Lene is angry that she's the only one in the family who opens her mouth and honestly says what's going on. The oldest sister Sofie, however, is of the opinion that you just have to be quiet when something is broken in humans. And Ella does not say anything anymore, she leaves silently and Lene and Sofie go too. Then, one year later Sofie, alone, comes back. She forgave her little sister. But Ella can not really look forward to anything that has already been broken. Hope and pain are so close together.
