This film is probably the first immersive cinema live-action film to be shot with real actors on real locations. It explores the creative potential of the new medium of fulldome immersive cinema:
In a play-within-a-play, young people act out key scenes from Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare in a modern, fantastical production: Romeo and Juliet meet at a wild party and instantly fall in love. But their happiness is short-lived. Romeo belongs to a hostile family, which is why Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, challenges Romeo to a fight. Romeo kills Tybalt in a wild fight. He rushes to Juliet and experiences his first and last night of love with her. Juliet warns him to flee, as the prince has expelled him from the city for murder. But Romeo returns - and the drama takes its course.
But in the end it's all just a game and the party people keep dancing.
